Meet Our Director - Dr. Chen

Dr. Chen is the Company Director of Family Care Dental Clinic, leading four established branches across Batu Pahat. With over 30 years of experience in dentistry, she is known for her warm and caring approach. Dr. Chen has always believed that a dental clinic should feel homey and welcoming, so that patients can walk in without fear and leave with confidence.

Her expertise goes far beyond general dentistry. Dr. Chen has special interests in dental implants, helping patients regain strong and beautiful smiles, as well as the management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, offering relief to those suffering from jaw pain, clicking, or discomfort.

In addition, she is a passionate sleep dentist. Her deep interest in snoring and obstructive sleep apnea inspired her to furt her her studies in the United States, where she obtained a professional diploma in Boston, becoming a qualified dental sleep medicine practitioner.

Dr. Chen strongly believes that dentistry is not only about treating teeth. At Family Care Dental Clinic, she advocates for a holistic approach to dental care - one that considers sleep, breathing, jaw health, and overall well-being. To her, true dental care is about nurturing the whole person, not just the smile.

Dr Ng Wan Ching

Qualifications:

• DDS (UNPAD, Indonesia)
• DClinDent Ortho (UKM, Malaysia)
• Membership in Orthodontics, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh

Dr. Ng Wan Ching is our resident orthodontist. She received her specialist training in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeon Edinburgh.

Her clinical expertise lies in the diagnosis and management of dental & jaw irregularities, such as:

1. Dental malocclusion (crowding, spacing, underbite, deep bite, impacted teeth, etc)
2. Jaw bone discrepancies requiring surgical collaboration
3. Early interceptive orthodontic treatment for children
4. Interdisciplinary orthodontic care for implants and restorative cases
5. Multidisciplinary treatments such as maxillomandibular advancement for sleep apnea

Dr Liew Sook Wei

Qualifications:

• D.D.S. (University of Science Malaysia)
• Tufts University Pediatric Dental Sleep Medicine
• The Full Face Philosophy - Orthodontic Mini Residency

Dr. Liew Sook Wei is passionate about early orthodontic treatment, with a strong focus on helping children grow up healthy an d confident. Sheprovides treatment through dental arch expanders and oral myofunctional therapy, which not only guide proper dental development but alsoimprove breathing, sleeping, and chewing functions.

Dr. Liew firmly believes that snoring is never normal in children. Often, it may be a signal of underlying issues that can affect a child’s growth,health, and overall quality of life. By identifying these concerns early, she is able to support children in developing better breathing patterns,enjoying deeper and more restorative sleep, and achieving healthier overall growth.

With her gentle and caring approach, Dr. Liew creates a positive experience for both children and parents. She is committed to helping everychild build a strong foundation for lifelong wellness―because good sleep, good breathing, and good habits lead to a brighter, healthier future.

Dr Joyce Leong Kai Xin

Qualifications:

Dr Joyce has a gentle touch and a warm heart for her patients. She specializes in Digital Smile Design, dental veneers, crown s, and bridges, andtruly enjoys helping people feel more confident with their smile.

Her goal is not just to fix teeth, but to create natural, beautiful smiles that match each person’s unique personality. With the help of moderndigital technology, Dr Joyce carefully plans every detail so her patients can see their new smile even before treatment begins.

Whether it’s repairing a damaged tooth, improving appearance with veneers, or restoring chewing function with crowns and brid ges, Dr Joycealways puts her patients’ comfort and happiness first. She believes that a healthy and confident smile can brighten lives and bring more joyevery day.

Dr Alvin Neo Yong Le

Dr. Alvin is a dentist who believes that every patient deserves to feel comfortable, just like visitinga friend. With his warm and approachable personality, he helps patients of all ages feel at ease,even if they are usually nervous about dental visits.

He is experienced in providing a wide range of treatments, including scaling and polishing, fillings,extractions, teeth whitening, dentures, and root canal therapy. Dr. Alvin takes time to listen andexplain, making sure patients feel cared for and understood. For him, dentistry is not just aboutfixing teeth―it’s about building trust, creating smiles, and forming long-lasting relationships withhis patients.

Dr See Lok Yin

Dr Foo Oia Fung

Qualifications:

Dr. Foo is a dentist who believes in the power of listening. She takes the time to truly understandher patients’ needs, ensuring they feel comfortable before any treatment begins.

Dr Tan Xue Ying

Dr. Tan is known for her soft-spoken, kind-hearted nature that immediately reassures herpatients. She understands that many people feel nervous about visiting the dentist, so she takesextra time to explain treatments and guide them through every step. Her calm presence andnurturing spirit create an atmosphere of trust, making patients feel safe and respected.

She approaches each procedure with patience and precision. She believes that dentistry is notonly about restoring teeth but also about giving patients the confidence to smile and the comfortof knowing they are cared for with genuine compassion.

Dr Muhammad Nazirul

Qualifications:

• Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) of the Royal College ofSurgeons of Edinburgh
• Master in Clinical Dentistry (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery), Universiti Malaya

Dr. Nazirul serves as a visiting Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Consultant at Family Care Dental. Witha strong passion for surgical care, he focuses on procedures that enhance both oral health andoverall well-being. His expertise covers a wide range of minor surgeries, including wisdom toothremoval, soft tissue surgery, dental implant placement, and other maxillofacial proceduresinvolving the face, mouth, teeth, and gums.

Specializing in implant dentistry and surgical interventions, Dr. Nazirul is dedicated to providingprecise, comfortable, and safe treatments, ensuring that every patient receives the higheststandard of care.
